How long does it take to get a crown?
Traditionally, getting a crown was a long procedure spanning several weeks. However, here at Spodak Dental Group, we house a top-of-the-line CEREC machine, allowing our dentists to mill a crown in just one hour. You avoid wearing temporary crowns and multiple visits to our office, saving you time and money!
Does my dental crown require special care?
Like any tooth, your crown requires good dental hygiene, including brushing twice a day, flossing regularly, and visiting your dentist twice a year. While your crown won’t decay in the same way a tooth can, decay can form along the edge of the crown and your tooth.
What’s the difference between crowns and veneers?
A crown covers your tooth like a cap while veneers are a thin shell that’s applied to the front of your tooth. A crown may be necessary if your tooth is at risk of breaking, has undergone a root canal, or doesn’t match the rest of your teeth.
How long will a ceramic crown last?
With proper care and regular routine maintenance at our office, ceramic crowns may last up to 10 years.
