Spodak Dental Group Receives Prestigious Business of the Year Title
SPODAK DENTAL GROUP NAMED 2010-2011 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
The Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce has voted to honor the Spodak Dental Group (SDG) as its 2010-2011Business of the Year. SDG now joins the ranks of such stellar past recipients as the Delray Medical Center, the Sun-Sentinel, and Ed Morse Toyota. Founded by Dr. Myles Spodak, SDG has been proudly serving the Greater Delray Beach Area since 1976. Dr. Craig Spodak (“Dr. Craig”), his son, joined the practice in 1998, and took the helm in 2006.
A proud member of Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Club, Dr. Craig is not just an eminently qualified dental provider, but a groundbreaking entrepreneur who is also a finalist for Delray’s Business Person of the Year. Following graduation from the esteemed Tuft’s University School of Dental Medicine, it was civic pride and a great love for the Delray Beach community (where he was raised) that motivated his return to the area. His goal was to innovatively build on the foundation of trust and dedication to the citizens of Delray which was laid by his father before him.

They recently augmented their team with a board certified MD anesthesiologist to administer and oversee sedation for a variety of Sleep Dentistry procedures—a safety measure unprecedented in the field. And while many practices have yet to implement even digital x-rays, SDG has already embraced the newest generation of safe and comfortable imaging technology and digital record keeping, making them fully compliant well in advance of the 2014 government mandate.
A commitment to the health of the environment, as well, has inspired them to implement a variety of eco-friendly initiatives. Everything from paperless charting and vigilant recycling measures to UV air purification and the use of non-toxic sterilization solutions are already in place. More “green” initiatives are on the table to further reduce the carbon footprint of the practice.
These are among the many qualities that caught the attention of the Chamber’s esteemed voting committee. “There are so many businesses in our community that I admire. We are truly honored to have received the award,” says Dr. Craig Spodak. “Selecting our team as Delray’s Business of the Year is a recognition of our continued investment in our community. In the end,” he adds, “we believe that a healthy and prosperous Delray is a better Delray. We are so gratified to play a small part in making it so.”
