Ladies F.I.R.S.T. Self Defense Training

Spodak Dental Group routinely hosts Ladies F.I.R.S.T. Self Defense classes and you’re invited! Classes are open to ladies of all levels of athleticism, strength, flexibility and body types, and you will learn how to use physics, gravity, leverage and special techniques to deter an attacker.

Kendrick Stephens, an expert in personal defense tactics and close quarter combat, is the founder and teacher of the Ladies F.I.R.S.T. Self Defense class. According to Stephens, many women’s self-defense programs teach unrealistic techniques that promote a false sense of security and cause more harm than good. This program is the first of its kind and employs effective, “reality based” tactics that will help the attendees protect themselves under the worst of circumstances.

One out of every five American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime. Furthermore, 80 percent of victims are younger than 30 years old!

“The statistics are staggering,” said Dr. Craig Spodak, owner of Spodak Dental Group, “and I’m glad to be able to provide this free class to the women in our community. If I can help save someone’s life, it is well worth it.”

The Ladies F.I.R.S.T. Self Defense Training Program is being taught nationwide to individual women, groups, corporations, female school teachers, moms’ clubs, women’s sports teams, shelters for victims of assault and more.

Stephens has more than 20 years of police experience, including 16 years as a S.W.A.T. Team Member, and has participated in more than 2,000 high-risk missions where he has fought for his life on many occasions. He has 35 years of martial arts experience and black belts in four martial arts disciplines. Stephens has successfully utilized every level of force on the street, learning “first hand” just how effective reality-based combat training is when used against someone who is not as knowledgeable.

Even if you’ve attended a self defense class in the past, or if this is your first time, please join us at our upcoming classes! The knowledge and tactics are so powerful and will help you if you ever find yourself in a difficult situation.

Please email darien@spodakdental.com to RSVP.

Spodak Dental Group’s COVID-19 Update

Based on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s mandate on March 18th 2020, all dental offices in this state are only permitted to see patients who are experiencing a true dental emergency until May 8th 2020. These “emergencies” are defined as someone experiencing pain or swelling. The spirit of this mandate is to not further spread the virus by doing elective dental treatment and also to not burden our healthcare system by not having dental needs have to be seen in our hospital system.   If you are someone that fits into this category and are not currently sick, we are able to see you. Please reach out to us immediately and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

In addition, we can also provide virtual appointments to track Invisalign progress and keep your Invisalign treatment moving forward. We may also be able to mail out new aligners if needed.

As always, our main priority is the health and safety of our patients and our team members, and we are doing everything we can to help stop the spread of the coronavirus while remaining dedicated to our patients’ dental health.
