Dr. Jason Hersh

About Dr. Jason Hersh

He was born in New York but moved to Coral Springs as a toddler. He was raised in South Florida until college, where he attended the University of Florida and earned a Bachelors in Psychology. He then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he graduated Cum Laude in 1998 and received their award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. He became a double Gator and went back to UF for his residency in periodontics and implant dentistry, graduating in 2001, which is when he returned to South Florida to practice. He earned his Board Certification in 2003.

While in college, he became a certified firefighter in the County of Alachua and was a volunteer firefighter for five years, and then upon returning for residency, continued for an additional three years.

He is also a huge supporter of our military and was a civilian contractor to the Southern Command as a periodontist for six years.

From an early age, he knew health care was where he wanted to be. His local dentist, who he went to since the age of three, played a big influence on why he chose to go into the field of dentistry. He allowed him to observe and help out, all while teaching him his passion for all facets of dentistry.

Dr. Hersh is known for his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, as well as in placing dental implants. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care and takes a personalized approach to treatment, ensuring that each patient’s unique needs and goals are met.

He feels his degree in psychology has helped him be a better listener and communicator with his patients, as it helps him better understand their needs. He is a huge believer in that by helping his patients achieve their best periodontal condition, that it will help them to enjoy their best health possible and set them up for long-term optimal success.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hersh is actively involved in continuing education and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Florida Association of Periodontology, Florida Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration.

Outside the office, Dr. Hersh enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through outdoor activities including hiking, biking, fishing, scuba diving, skiing, watching his two children, Jared and Sarah, compete in equestrian sports, and adoring his K-9 Frenchie Niko. He is also committed to giving back to the community and regularly volunteers his time and resources to local charities.
