Michael J. Greene
Michael Greene joined Spodak Dental Group in February 2012 as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), with overall responsibility to deliver measurable, cost-effective business-building results that make the organizational vision a reality. His responsibilities include; developing and implementing appropriate processes and procedures to ensure the highest standard of clinical outcomes is consistently achieved; introducing service initiatives that meet evolving patient needs; conducting marketing and promotional activities that support and complement the core values and philosophy of the organization; spearheading outreach initiatives that fulfill the needs of underserved community populations, and promoting activities that foster strong patient satisfaction.

Meet Our Clinical Team:
Susie Turner
Susie Turner, a Certified Dental Assistant, has been in dentistry since she was just 17 years old. She's had the opportunity to work with some of the most highly skilled and regarded dental professionals in the field. Now in her 30th year she is enjoying her work more than ever. “I'm excited to be part of an advancing profession that is changing and improving the lives of people everyday.” As our Clinical Team Manager, Susie is proud to be able to teach and share her knowledge with future assistants, helping them to achieve the same level of proficiency she now enjoys. She is an active mom and grandmother who practices what she preaches when it comes to health and wellbeing.
Bethany Ingram
Bethany Ingram cultivated years of proficiency in the use of detailed instrumentation as a successful jewelry designer. She was sure her former career would help ease her transition into employing dental instrumentation, as well. After completing her training and certification in Dental Assisting, she brought her steady hand and eye for detail to the Spodak Dental Group, where she has been serving our family of patients ever since. “There's no better feeling than helping a patient who has real fear or pain to get the treatment they need, and to come out with a healthy, beautiful smile.” An avid surfer, Bethany is also a member of the Surfrider Foundation, a national and local non-profit organization dedicated to protecting our beautiful beaches and marine wild-life.
Erika Pusillo
Erika, a Certified Dental Assistant, graduated from Dental Assisting School in 2008. Coming from a family of dental professionals, she grew up cultivating a deep appreciation for the dental arts. Driven by a love of life and a love for people, her goal is to create an overall pleasant experience for each of her patients. “I enjoy every moment of what I am a part of at Spodak Dental.” An avid sports fan and outdoors girl, Erika enjoys fishing, boating, and rooting for the Miami Dolphins.
Yvette Batista
Yvette Batista is not only a Registered Dental Hygienist; she is also a trained dentist, having earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Universidad Catolica Madre Y Maestra. Initially, it was fear of the dentist that propelled her to seek a career in dentistry. Now, with over 25 years experience, it is still her passion. When not serving her patients, Yvette loves dancing and playing the piano.
Marissa Camandona
Marissa Camandona is a graduate of Tallahassee Community College and Florida Atlantic University. She holds a degree in Dental Hygiene and is a Registered Dental Hygienist. Though she has practiced in New York and New Jersey, this newlywed and outdoors lover returned to Florida to lay down her roots. Here at the Spodak Dental Group she is more than a practitioner – she's an educator, providing her patients with all the skills and tools they'll need to maintain healthy teeth and gums for a lifetime. Betty Hartley
Betty Hartley, started her career as a dental assistant in 1987, right out of high school. What started as a job quickly developed into a passion. Burdened by the realization of how many people feared their dental experience, Betty made it her personal career goal to provide each patient in her care an anxiety-free experience.
Freddy Batista
Freddy, our master ceramic artist, is both an accomplished artist and a trained dentist. While he enjoyed the clinical aspects of dentistry, he found himself continually drawn back to the mechanics and artistry of ceramic restorations (crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers). Embracing each piece of porcelain like Michelangelo embraced a piece of marble, he finds ultimate satisfaction in whittling, molding, and glazing each fabricated piece until it mimics exactly a natural tooth. Because he is so well acquainted with both the clinical requirements and the mechanical and artistic requirements for crafting a perfect restoration, he is able to produce results that exceed all expectations.
Jessica Cooper
Jessica's earliest childhood memories involve dentistry. She grew up on Fort Myers Beach, Florida where her father practiced as the community's only dentist. When her dad later became a periodontist, she developed a passion for helping patients with their gum health. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Communications at the University of Florida, Jess earned a degree in Dental Hygiene and has practiced in a variety of capacities since 1996, including periodontics, community dentistry, pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Jessica truly believes that by being a motivator for others to achieve better health she is living the life God intended for her. Living in Delray Beach allows Jess to work closely with collegeagues at Palm Beach State College in Dental Hygiene, Special Olympics Healthy Athletes and animal rescue. Being a part of Spodak Dental Group she feels allows her to practice dental hygiene at the highest level of clinical care while continuing to be involved with specialty periodontics, education and support our community with volunteer activities. As an avid cyclist Jess states, "Please watch out for me on A1A!!"
Lucy Sinett
Registered Dental Hygienist Lucy Sinett may be the newest member of our Hygiene Team, but with nearly 30 years experience she is hardly new to dentistry. She is a graduate of Miami Dade College and holds a degree in Dental Hygiene. It was always her ambition to make a career for herself in a health care profession. While just a child, some particularly unsettling dental experiences left her fearful of the dentist. As she overcame her own fear, she determined that she would “bring a gentle and caring touch” to her own patients so that they would never know the fear and dread she herself experienced. In her spare time, Lucy loves spending time with her family, enjoys relaxing with Yoga and Zumba, and volunteers her time at a local Soup Kitchen in Boca.
Vanezza
Vanezza Abreu’s family came to the US from Uruguay, but she was born and raised right here in South Florida. While other little girls were playing house, Vanezza was playing dentist. That same childhood passion translated into completing her training as a Certified Dental Assistant at PBSC and later graduating from FSU in 2010 with a degree in Exercise Science and Pre-Dental Studies. Her immediate goal is to become a dentist, so she is currently applying to dental schools. She hopes to begin the next phase of her studies by the Fall of 2012. Once graduated, her dream is to impact the world by practicing dentistry in underserved and underprivileged third-world countries. Vanezza is a fitness and ecology buff who loves keeping herself (and Mother Earth) healthy and strong.
Natasha Da Costa
Wondering where you’ve seen Natasha Da Costa before? Maybe it was in one of the thirty television commercials or in one of the many stage productions in which she starred in her days before dentistry. An accomplished actress and model, Natasha left performing to start a family. Then, at the age of 35, she decided to redirect her energies into a new career field. It was always her desire “to make people smile.” Now, as a Certified Dental Assistant, Natasha says, “I’m making that dream a reality.” A graduate with honors from the Medix School in Georgia, she recently returned home to her native Florida and joined our Clinical Assistant Team. She loves her family, her church, and cooking. And yes, she still loves the performing arts—though these days she primarily performs her magic on people’s smiles.
Meet Our Front Desk Team:
Michelle Amiel
Michelle joined our team in 2007. She holds a degree in Expanded Dental Hygiene and has been practicing since 1977. Today she applies her years of clinical experience as our Practice Manager and Treatment Coordinator. Working together with our entire team of doctors, she is our point person to help our patients embrace their best course of treatment. Michelle, who was unhappy with her own smile as a child, has always been intrigued with beautiful smiles. “I hated the pain I associated with my childhood experiences at the dentist and just want to serve others with empathy.” Her interests include all things related to health and wellness, including yoga and organic gardening.
Kathy Miller
Kathy began serving our family of patients behind the scenes in 2007 as an outside contractor in our Accounting Department. Her positive outlook and drive for excellence quickly made her a natural fit for our team. “It was a wonderful day when Dr. Craig Spodak asked me to join the team full time!” No more “behind the scenes” work for Kathy—our patients love seeing her at the front desk as part of our Patient Relations Team. A former Michigander, Kathy has made Florida her home for nearly 30 years. She is an avid reader, and enjoys Sudoku, cooking, and spending time with her husband and three daughters.
Dawn Dowling
Dawn Dowling brings a wealth of healing arts experience to the Spodak Dental Group. After years of soothing away her patients’ pains and stresses through massage therapy, she redirected her energies into dental medicine in 1999. She spent ten years in an Oral Surgery practice, four of which were as a surgical assistant. She now dedicates her energies to both our Patient Relations Team and Oral Surgery Clinical Team. She is a natural nurturer who finds equal reward in serving our patients chairside and in helping them better understand their proposed plans of treatment. Her great joy is spending quality time with her daughter.
Laura Callas
Longtime dental veteran Laura Callas lends years of education, experience, and talent to our Front Desk Patient Relations Team. Laura completed dental assisting school while still in high school. She went on to dental hygiene school—graduating in 1991—and practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist for the next 17 years. She also served for several years as a dental hygiene clinical instructor before moving to Florida in 2007. She still holds active licenses in both South Carolina and Virginia, but has devoted the past several years to dental administration and patient relations. In addition to her dental education and experience, Laura also holds an advanced degree in Holistic Nutrition and Naturopathy. Her commitment is to her patients’ “total health and wellness.” She especially enjoys educating patients on the important relationship between good oral health and one’s overall health and well being.
Kandice Badal
Kandice joined the Spodak Dental Group in the role of Insurance Specialist. Growing up the child of a successful dental professional, she has been speaking the language of dentistry since she was a little girl, so it was a very natural path for her to pursue a career in dentistry herself. Having been trained by one of the area’s leading dental software and insurance consultants, she brings a wealth of practical and technical knowledge to both our Front Desk and Back Office teams. She finds great satisfaction in helping patients navigate through the bureaucracy of the insurance system, but especially enjoys the human side of dentistry. “I love hearing patients’ reactions after successful dental treatment.” In her spare time, Kandice enjoys running, snowboarding, reading, artistic movies and artwork.
